Jerry! Hello!

Took a drive out to Oakdale on Saturday to visit our friends Lynn and Jerry.  I met Jerry back in the Avantek days when he and his crew were doing all the voice and data cabling for us.  I became friends with all of the \”Starlite\”  guys.  Jerry, Lynn and us share some personal history too.  They were the ones who introduced us to Staci!  Back in the day, since I   knew he had a teenage daughter,  I asked Jerry if he knew of someone who could be an \”activity director\” for our kids during the summer.  Two weeks later Staci knocked on our door. Staci and Jerry\’s daughter Lindsey are still close friends. Lindsey also taught our kids how to swim. We had enrolled them in summer swim lessons and Lindsey was their teacher.  Throw in a few party\’s, a few concerts, and we\’ve all come to be good friends over the years.

Anyway, they moved to Oakdale 5 years ago and we\’ve never been out to the new house. Got there around lunchtime.  Had a great time just visiting and catching up. Lynn made some awesome shrimp salads for us.  We hung out at the house,  got the royal tour of greater Oakdale and went to a great steak dinner at the Willows in Jamestown. Back to the house and into the pool and hot tub. Watched Phelps win his 8th gold then off to bed.  Slept in then up for coffee and a great  brunch.  After a noontime dip in the pool it was off to home.
