Fremont Fun Ride

\"Dsc02179\" Sunday morning we had planned on going on a nice long ride with Diane and Ben. We had previously ridden the Terra Bella, Surf City Century and Tour de Tahoe together and hadn\’t gotten together in a while. Barb and Diane had planned this and put it on the calendar weeks ago. The Fremont Fun Ride consisted of heading from our house out the the Alameda Creek Trail. From there we headed towards Niles Canyon and one end of the trail. \"Dsc02178\" We got onto city streets for just a bit to do the Stenhammer Loop ( this is part of our normal ride when me and Barb ride this way, gets a little hill action into the otherwise flat ride). From the loop we got back onto the creek trail and headed all the way (11 miles) to the other end of the trail where Alameda Creek empties to the bay. Had our snack out there and took a couple of pictures.  From there we went back and did the Coyotes Hills loop which included the ascent up infamous Heart Attach Hill. Finished the 3 mile Coyotes Hills loop and got back onto the creek trail for the ride home. A celebratory stop at Brookvale Starbucks for iced coffee drinks made for a great ending to a great ride. The final couple of blocks back home showed 32 miles on the odometer.  It really was a fun ride!!!
