Happy Veterans Day
Happy Veterans Day everyone.Barb and I always joke when Veteran’s day rolls around that its funny how most veterans DO NOT get the day off. Us included. Although it is a federal holiday, most companies do not offer this as one of their days off. I guess Veterans day isn’t up there with all the other BIG holidays. So most veterans are stuck working while the postmen and govt employees enjoy a free day at tax payer expense,or better yet, still work the day and get double time for it. Either way, happy Veterans day.
Barb and I are both peace time vets. Barb having served in the Air Force reserve and yours truly doing a hitch in the Army. What we did was nothing compared to what the brave men and women, boys and girls, go through during times of war. I can only imagine what it is like being in war or having a child that is fighting a war. I don’t consider myself in the same company with wartime vets. Our hearts and prayers go out to the braves souls serving today. and to the families supporting them.
