Tierra Bella Tune up

Sunday morning we woke up early to head down to Gilroy to scope out part of the Tierra Bella Bicycle Tour 2004, we are doing next week. The plan was to ride the 30 mile Gilroy Hot Springs part of the ride. This is the hilly part of the ride. We hooked up with Diane, Diane’s friend Colleen, her husband Kevin at their house in Morgan Hill. Also along for the ride was another couple, Martina and Sal. We decided to ride from Colleen and Kevin’s house. We cut over Highway 101 and cruised south to Gilroy via old farm roads. old farm roads = no traffic!. Anyway, we found the hot springs loop, climbed the hill (the training at heart attack hill is paying off)) and cruised most of the rest of this loop. by the time we got back to Morgan Hill, we had ridden 50 miles. All in all a great day with great people. And a great ride. Some tune up!

When we got home, we heard on the news that the “hot spot” in the Bay area was Gilroy @ 81 degrees.
