Tradition continues at Max\’s

Said goodbye again to the Champagne Crew last night as they ended a quick  summer vacation in Pacific Grove and headed home to Pittsburg.  Last weekend Barb and I went to see the crew (kids #1 and #2 included) in PG.   Just like old times.  Nothing fancy,  just good conversation amongst friends.   Walked down to Peppers for a great Mexican dinner, then back to the house for more visiting.  Up early Sunday for a morning trip to Starbucks at Cannery Row and coffees over-looking the beautiful Monterey Bay.  As has now become tradition, we met them for dinner last night at Max’s Opera Cafe in Burlingame.  Just like we did two years ago when they were leaving Cali for Pitt.  Last night it was on the way for them to  catch the red-eye back home.  The Champagne crew is doing all right. The little kids are growing up!  The big kids are grown!  AKC and TKL  are AOK,  look great and seem happier than ever.   If they were only closer.
